New York International Auto Show

I was given the impression that by being here in the United States, I would be granted endless freedom and time to jot down all memories I would gain.

How terribly mistaken I was.

In a short period of two months and I felt like I went through 2 years of living experience. Never had I imagined learning so much in so short a time!

All the lessons I have learnt have been humbling. It is with my lessons that I hope it will help me grow as a person. It was not until I came here that I realised how young and innocent I had been.  At such environments, it forces you to grow up whether or not you are ready to embrace change. But that is how life is. We learnt it in college: the only constant thing in life is change.

My purpose of travelling and working was a mission to search for myself. To determine what it was that made me who I am. Though the process of searching for oneself is never as straightly cut out as learning ABC, it is through reflections in life that you start recognising your growth.

In any case, I have promised to upload some pictures of my trip here thus far, so here goes:

On my first trip to New York, I went in time to attend the International Auto Show:

But before we went in, there was a promotional exhibition by Jeep. We had to get into a long queue to get a chance to sit in various Jeep models and go through "obstacles" in which we were demonstrated just how durable and reliable their cars were.

We got to keep it! :D

One of the obstacles where we were brought all the way up..

First we saw only the sky...
And Vrrroooom down we went! Totally like a mini roller coaster! XD
That was how it looked like

the first car that greeted us at the entrance

Pretty much like how a car show ought to look like..but i felt somewhat disappointed that the exhibition was not as crowded as I had imagined

Men and cars

There were other brands as well but I found it rather disappointing that it was not as wide scaled and noisy with a huge crowd as I had thought it may be. And the cars were not terribly exotic either.

Nonetheless, quite an experience for a first time at New York. Couldn't help but think about the joy in my bro and dad's faces if they were there to witness it. :D
